I made this album in 2019 as self-contained portion of a larger project. It's about nostalgia, but not for people, and only broadly for events or places, though each song focuses on a place I've called "home" up to that point in my life. My aim was to capture the more abstract feeling of each home's domesticity - the way you come to recognize the smell of a place you where live, the feeling of comfortable stillness associated with a place where you rest.

Much of the base audio material for this album came from feeding MIDIs through the canned FM presets of a Yamaha keyboard I owned at the time. My approach to depicting memory here is similar to the approaches established by artists like Burial and the Caretaker, but in execution reflects my instincts as an almost exclusively digital listener and producer - instead of the surface noise of physical media, I rely on clipping and software artifacting to create a sense of "degradation."
