With this track, I am proud to announce that I am under consideration to perform at Bronycon 2013 this August in Baltimore, MD! I'll be releasing a four-track EP with my tentative setlist for the show. SUPREMELY EXCITED.

Anyways, this is also my first published track on my OP-1, showcasing my new sound. I'm extremely happy with it - the freedom this little box of wonders has given me is astounding.

A note on the song itself: there's a theory floating around the brony community that the entirety of My Little Pony universe is the creation of a girl in a mental institution, dubbed Pinkamena, who self-inserts into her creation as Pinkie Pie. This theory doesn't really hold any sway with me, but it bears a kind of poetic significance. Pinkamena's life is monotonous and gloomy, so Pinkie is always incredibly happy and has so much fun to have that she doesn't have time to get to it all. Pinkamena is confined and generally without peers; Pinkie runs free with almost zero responsibility and is friends with everyone in Ponyville. And, of course, when Pinkamena begins to lose grasp on her creation - and Pinkie starts losing friends - both deteriorate, and Pinkie becomes so depressed that she, too, becomes delusional. This song was originally written about a bit character from the season 2 episode "Read It and Weep", but whenever I sing this song, my thoughts are with Pinkamena.
